Your child has a reading diary, in this will be a timetable of reading days. Please return diary and reading book on reading days – thank you!

Accelerated Reader is a programme we use for pupils in Y3-Y6. Once your child has finished reading a book, log into Accelerated Reader by clicking this image on the left. Login using your child’s login details.
Once logged in, click on the orange Accelerated Reader button and this will take you to a page where you can type in the title of the book you have read. If that book is on the system, it will allow your child to take a comprehension quiz on that text.
Doing this will not only boost your child’s reading points but will also improve their comprehension skills.
MyOn is another reading platform that we use to encourage reading. Children login using the School name: St Joseph’s R.C. Primary School and then use the same login details that they have for Accelerated Reader.
When logged in they have access to a wealth of online ebooks. When they have read them they can select to take the AR quiz, this will take them to Accelerated Reader for the comprehension quiz.
TT Rock Stars is a tool we use to engage pupils in developing their times table knowledge.
Pupils login using the school postcode: LL29 7UU
Next they input their TTRS username and password.
Once in, they can select different levels and earn rockstar coins which allow them to purchase rock merchandise.
