We all realise the importance, after a busy day, to stop, pause and reflect. In school, periods of prayer and reflection are vital in maintaining our mission, to ‘Grow in Love’. There are many ways in which this is nurtured.

First, thank you to all our parents for your support in completing the Lent Prayer Bag questionnaire. Your responses are appreciated and help to inform us how we can further develop the home prayer bags. They have helped draw attention to how important prayer and quiet reflection are in nurturing our children’s faith, both at home and in school.

During May, our ‘Mary Prayer Bags’ will be shared, reminding us of Mary’s example of trust, love, and prayer. Our GIFT Team took the prayer bags to be blessed by Fr Vimal, at our last school Mass, and then led a special assembly to introduce them, helping pupils understand their purpose and how to use them respectfully.

It is evident that pupils are already enjoying the activities provided, pupils have been eager to share prayers they have written and the rosary craft they have made from the resources given.

The GIFT Team have also created a giant rosary which is on display in the foyer. The team will visit each class in the coming weeks with the rosary to encourage shared prayer and reflection together as a school community. Thank you to Mrs Roberts and the GIFT Team for their dedication and efforts.

In other news, please can all cars avoid stopping and parking on the zig-zags. We have noticed that this is increasingly an issue with cars bringing children to Breakfast Club. The laws are in place to keep everyone safe – please do your bit.

Finally, if you have not yet signed up for our free Summer Club, there are still places available. This club is open to all children Reception to Year 5.

Whole school attendance this week was 91%.
