We hope everyone continues to settle well into new class routines. It was lovely to see some of you on ‘Meet the Teachers’ afternoon and/or at Friday Coffee. Please remember that a welcome awaits for all families in the Parish Centre on a Friday morning.
This week we celebrated National Fitness Week in style. The children have been very active, despite some miserable weather. Joe Lambe was with us again, from Cricket Wales, delivering sessions for children in Years 3-6. Tom Geeson from Colwyn Bay Rugby Club also came in and introduced children in Years 1, 2, 3 and 6 to rugby. Both Colwyn Bay Rugby and Cricket Clubs will welcome your children along if they enjoyed these sessions. One of our mum’s, Chloe, also came in to school to treat Years 1 and 2 to a Personal Trainer fitness session. Finally, a number of older children joined us for after school clubs of netball, football, art and choir. Remember, with clubs, any child in Years 3-6 can attend for free without booking. The only rule is, they have to have completed their work for class teachers in the week before the club.
While most of us kept fit this week, some children were not in school and our attendance was down. Please make sure children are getting plenty of sleep, fresh air, fruit and vegetables.
We need you all here.
