This weekend our Parish community are beginning a year of celebrations of 125 years of St Joseph’s church. On Sunday there will be a special mass with Bishop Brignall and many other important guests.
In preparation for the event the children in each class have been doing work based on our church. We displayed all the work on Thursday at our Parents Open Afternoon. This work will remain up for Sunday when we will be hosting a party after mass.
At the end of the mass there will be a number of speeches celebrating our parish community over the 125 years. One aspect discussed will be the strong relationship between school and church which dates back to 1931. We will be sharing some of this history with you very soon.
