There’s been lots happening this week, as we head towards the end of another school year.
Firstly, congratulations to our school winners in the Colwyn in Bloom art competition (pictures above). Fantastic work.
Secondly, we have been told that Year 5, pupils who went for taster days at Ysgol Eirias and Ysgol Bryn Elian, behaved well and enjoyed their day.
Back in school, the rest of the classes had move up day, where they spent a morning with class teachers they will be with in September. Again, all children coped with the change well and can look forward to their new classes with confidence. If parent/carers have any questions or concerns about September, do not hesitate to contact school.
On Thursday and Friday we welcomed PC Craig to school to talk to pupils in Years 1-5. The police provided invaluable lessons and support for our school and we are thankful they have continued to provide this service despite cuts to funding for this provision.
Finally, on Friday afternoon we all got a sneak peek of Year 6’s play, Matilda. We have taken a new approach this year and from what we watched this afternoon, letting our oldest pupils make the decisions and take ownership has really worked.
